GENERAL INTERCLUB RULES
The following rules apply to all
Interclub competitions
1 If
a club is GENUINELY unable to fill a team, a request to use players from
another
club not already entered in the competition may be submitted
in writing to the
Operations Manager. If granted these additional players may
play in any position
other than skip of either fours or pairs or in singles. A
list of approvals granted shall
be on display in the office at the Indoor Bowls Hall.
2 A
team may play one substitute, being a registered player in the hall not
otherwise
playing, who shall play as lead in a team. Substitutes are
not permitted in any
game of singles.
3 In
the event of scores being level after the required number of ends have been
played, or the time limit reached, the game shall be drawn.
If the last end is killed
then rule 28 shall apply.
4 A
club with 2 or more teams in a competition may organise
their players amongst
their multiple teams on different playing days as they see
fit.
5 All
Interclub Playing Fees must be paid prior to the start of play. This includes
those Clubs which pay Interclub Fees on
behalf of their players.
THURSDAY FOURS, PAIRS
& SINGLES INTERCLUB
SPECIFIC THURSDAY FOURS,
PAIRS & SINGLES INTERCLUB RULES
1 Affiliated
Clubs may enter multiple teams consisting of four registered players from
their club.
2 One
Fours, two Pairs and four Singles games
shall be played in such order as determined
by the skips except the fours game shall be played first. In
the singles games
each player shall play against their opposite number from
the fours and must have
markers. In the pairs games the skip may be paired with
either the lead or second.
3 All
games shall be played on Thursday evenings at the Indoor Bowls Hall,
Road,
commencing at 7.30pm.
4 Each
team shall pay a nightly entry fee of $12 ($3 per player).
5 All
games shall be of 8 ends with no time limit.
6 Any
team unable to commence play by 7.45pm shall forfeit the fours game but
other games may be played.
7 If
a team forfeits all their scheduled games on any playing night it is required
to pay
the nightly entry fee for both its team and the team to
which they have defaulted.
8 A
club with two teams shall be awarded 2 competition points for each game won
and 1 point for each game drawn. A club with one team
entered shall be awarded
4
points for each game won and 2 points for each game drawn.
9 At
the end of the season the club with the most competition points shall be
awarded the Hillhead Trophy in
recognition of their achievement
